Straight answers before you brief us.
How the studio works, how long things take, and — for e-citizen — what we do, what government does, and what we will not claim.
Creative work and government facilitation sit under one roof. The rules are not the same. Jump to the section you need.
Working with the creative team
Brand, web, software, film and marketing. These answers cover how we take a brief, price it and ship it.
How do we start a project?
Send a quote request or visit the studio in Westlands. Tell us the outcome, any deadline, and a budget range in KES or USD if you have one. We reply within one business day with questions, a proposed scope, and a quote.
How long does a typical project take?
A focused brand kit or brochure site can land in a few weeks. A custom system or a campaign with film usually takes longer. Dates go in the quote so you are not guessing.
How do you price work?
Indicative starting prices sit on each service page — switch the site between KES and USD in the header. The quote you receive is for your scope, billed in Kenyan shillings or US dollars. Deposits and what is included are written down before we start.
Do you work with clients outside Nairobi?
Yes. Many briefs run over calls, WhatsApp and shared files. Photography, film and some e-citizen work still need you or your documents in person.
What happens after launch?
Handover, training where it is useful, and a Nairobi number that still picks up. Aftercare is scoped in the quote so it is not an afterthought.
Can you take over an existing website or brand?
Often, yes — if we can access hosting, domain, files or brand assets. We will say honestly when a rebuild is cheaper than patching.
Government filings, without pretending we are the government
Creative Crafts Solutions helps you prepare and submit on official portals. Approvals, licences and timelines stay with the agencies.
Are you a Government of Kenya office?
No. We are a private studio. We do not issue PINs, passports, licences, certificates or permits. Applications are filed on official portals. The agency decides the outcome.
What is the difference between your fee and government fees?
Government / statutory fees are paid to the agency. Our facilitation fee is for our time and process, confirmed in writing before we start. We do not mark up statutory fees.
How long does an application take?
Our side is usually measured in business days once your file is complete. Government processing is not under our control.
What do you not do?
We will not pretend to be a government office, issue or fast-track documents ourselves, guarantee approval, file false details, or take statutory fees into a private account.
What documents should I bring?
Original ID and copies, KRA PIN if you have one, passport photos where required, and a clear note of directors, shareholding or vehicle details. We send a checklist with the quote.
Can you guarantee my application will be approved?
No. We prepare and submit carefully. Approval belongs to the agency. You remain the applicant.
Whose eCitizen account is used?
Yours, wherever the portal allows. We can help you set up or recover access, then work from your login with your consent.
Ask us the question that is not on this page.
A producer will come back the same business day — with a quote if you already know the brief.
